Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced

Van Driver

to join our team at CSS Trading Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering building materials to various locations in and around the London area. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to navigate the busy London roads efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe and Timely Delivery

: Transport building materials to customer sites across London and surrounding areas.

Loading/Unloading

: Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring all items are secure and undamaged.

Route Planning

: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption.

Customer Service

: Provide excellent customer service by communicating with customers regarding delivery times, resolving any issues, and handling products with care.

Vehicle Maintenance

: Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues, ensuring the van is clean and maintained to a high standard.

Adherence to Regulations

: Comply with all road safety laws, driving regulations, and company policies.

Documentation

: Keep accurate delivery records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.

Requirements:

Full UK Driving License

(Clean and Valid)

Previous Driving Experience

: At least 1 year of experience driving a van, preferably in a delivery role within a construction/building supplies industry.

Geographical Knowledge

: Good knowledge of London roads, traffic patterns, and regulations.

Physical Fitness

: Ability to lift and move heavy building materials.

Excellent Communication Skills

: Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner.

Time Management

: Punctual and able to meet deadlines consistently.

Desirable:

Experience working in a builder's merchant or construction environment.
