Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations as per the schedule. Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any discrepancies. Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Experience

Previous experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred. Mechanical knowledge of vehicles is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting when necessary. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members. A valid driving licence is required for this position.
