Furniture delivery experience is a must! this job requires heavy lifting to and delivering to customer houses.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. The Van Driver will also assist in warehouse operations as needed, contributing to a smooth workflow.

Duties

Drive a van to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Load and unload items from the van, ensuring that all goods are secured properly for transport. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any changes. Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory management and organisation of goods as required. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients professionally.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues. Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is a plus but not essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
