Overview

TSH Services is a small family-run business which supplies potatoes to local restaurants as well as a working farm which supplies Hay/Haylage and Straw to local farms. We are looking to hire a van driver / yard worker to help develop and maintain our business. This dual role involves van driving and solo deliveries, also assisting drivers with deliveries and collections, as well as performing general yard duties to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Van Driver:

Handball deliveries, manually lifting potatoes (25kg bags). You must be physically fit due to manual handling demands. Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently. Navigate routes and provide directions to drivers when required. Ensure goods delivered correctly and handled with care. Communicate professionally with customers on delivery sites. Help complete delivery paperwork, including signatures and delivery notes.

Yard Worker Duties

Load and unload vehicles within the yard using manual handling or equipment Keep the yard area clean, organised, and free from obstructions. Assist with stock movement, storage, and general yard organisation. Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment and report faults. Support other yard tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Good level of physical fitness - role involves regular heavy lifting. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work safely. Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar role. Knowledge of health and safety procedures. Experience within a logistics, transport, or warehouse environment.
