Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled VAN DRIVER/STORES ASSISTANT to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This role also requires the ability to communicate effectively within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicle for the safe transportation of goods to designated locations. Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Collaborate with warehouse staff to load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring proper handling of all items. Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence Proven delivery driver experience with a strong track record of safety and reliability. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding logistics and inventory management but not essential Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple deliveries.
