Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels accurately. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and storage practices are followed. Perform picking and packing of orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist in shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Conduct regular checks on inventory levels and report discrepancies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment. Use mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on equipment when necessary. Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with familiarity in stocking, picking & packing, and shipping & receiving processes. Knowledge of materials handling techniques is essential for this role. Experience with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is advantageous. A background in construction may be beneficial due to the physical demands of the role. Pay: 13.50-14.00 per hour
