Job Description

We're looking for someone to join our small team, to help us load up our vans ready to deliver milk across Scotland and operate a system, to control our stock.

Every day, our vans and lorry are loaded to be sent off across the country delivering bottles, buckets and churns with ZERO single use plastic.

The position would be split into two each week - Mon to Fri from 7am to 2pm

A typical shift would be to arrive at the time set for that day unload the lorry with fork lift, reload using digital tablets to download the correct amount of milk for each van to be filled with. You would also carry out a stock check in both our chill room and dry store area, before loading the vans in the order that they would be collected by the driver later in the morning. Finally, you would carry out a closing stock check of chilled and dry goods before washing the chiller floor ready for it to be refilled by production.

The bad bits?
Everywhere has them - we just like to be honest.
Stock - Sometimes, you'll be held up a little as mistakes can happen - milk may not be quite ready in time so while you wait you may need to switch vans around, or work with the production team to move some equipment. It can be a bit frustrating at times, but as part of our Mossgiel team you'll understand that everyone is here to work together and we all manage to get through the tasks at the end of the day.
Weather - our loading bay is exposed and outside to all weathers. You'll be out whether it's -5 or 25 in sun, rain, snow and moon. On the good days you'll have views from Eaglesham to Arran, on the bad days your waterproofs will be sodding and you'll be looking forward to getting to the tearoom for a heat and a dry off.

You would need a full driving and Fork lift truck licence due to our insurance and no more than 3 points to drive our vans
