Job Description

We are searching for reliable van owner-drivers to join our delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our customers.

Duties

Safely drive a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.

Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies.

Assist in the warehouse as needed, including organising inventory and preparing items for dispatch.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns during deliveries.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience.

Strong driving skills with a valid Uk driving licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., van driver).

Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing deliveries.
