About the Role:

We're looking for a

reliable and experienced Vehicle Collector and Inspector

to help us collect used vehicles from all over the UK and bring them back to our site in Nuneaton. This job isn't just about driving -- you'll need to inspect and appraise the vehicles properly before they're purchased both cosmetically and mechanically.

You'll be dealing directly with sellers, so good communication is essential. You'll need to arrange collection times, turn up on time, and carry out proper checks before transporting the vehicle back.

What You'll Be Doing:

Vehicle Collection:

Travel across the UK to collect vehicles and bring them back to our site in Nuneaton.

Pre-Purchase Inspections:

Walk around the vehicle and check the bodywork for dents, scratches, rust, or signs of previous repairs. Listen for abnormal engine noises such as

timing chain

or

flywheel rattles

. Look for

oil leaks

in the engine bay. Plug in a

diagnostic tool

to check for fault codes or warning lights. Test all electrics -- windows, lights, radio, sat nav, parking sensors, etc.

Communication:

Speak directly with sellers to agree collection times and keep the team updated with your findings.

Reporting:

Send photos, notes, and your honest appraisal of the vehicle to help us make a final decision.

Transport:

Once everything checks out, drive the vehicle back to Nuneaton safely with all the required paperwork.

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

You must have experience in vehicle inspections and appraisals and be confident using diagnostic tools.

Driving License:

Full UK license is required.

Reliability:

We need someone who can turn up on time, follow instructions, and be trusted to do the job properly.

Good Communication:

You'll be the face of our business when dealing with customers, so a polite and professional attitude is key.

Attention to Detail:

Spotting issues others might miss can save us a lot of time and money -- this is a vital part of the job.

Flexibility:

Willing to travel (sometimes at short notice) and work flexible hours as needed.
