Job Summary



We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Breakdown Recovery operative to join our team living in the following areas

KIRKCALDY, GLENROTHES (surrounding areas will be considered) the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting stranded motorists by providing prompt and professional breakdown-recovery services. This role requires excellent communication skills, organisational ability, and a customer-focused approach to ensure efficient and courteous service delivery. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, reliability, and professionalism are paramount.

Duties



Ability to carry out light roadside repairs (wheel changes, flat battery's etc.)

Respond swiftly to breakdown calls and assess the situation on-site.

Safely recover vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques.

Maintain accurate records of all breakdown-recoveries, including details of the vehicle and incident.

Assist customers with basic enquiries, providing clear information and reassurance.

Utilise data entry skills to log incidents accurately into company systems.

Follow all health and safety protocols during breakdown-recovery operations.

Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of recovery equipment and work area.

Qualifications



Proven experience in data entry or administrative tasks is desirable.

Excellent phone etiquette coupled with strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients.

Analytical skills for assessing vehicle damage and determining suitable recovery methods.

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team under pressure in potentially stressful situations while maintaining a courteous demeanour.

Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.

Valid clean driving licence is essential, for Light Goods Vehicles (C1) Lorries from 3,500 kg to 7,500 kg, have an up-to-date drivers Tacho card and CPC card.; experience in vehicle recovery or roadside assistance is preferred but not mandatory as full in-house training will be given to successful candidate along with the appropriate PPE equipment.

Salary Remuneration



Working 5 days per week (Days T.B.C) 24 hour on call from home and roadside as required,

28 days holiday per year, guaranteed Salary 33800.00 per annum plus bonuses for jobs undertaken between 8 pm - 8 am.
