Job Title: Vehicle Damage Assessment Specialist
Supervised By: Bodyshop Supervisor
Role Overview:
This role involves accurately estimating repair costs for insurance companies and clients, ensuring that vehicle repairs are completed efficiently and profitably. The position requires independent work on assessments, with support available to assist junior team members when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Quickly prepare both manual and digital repair estimates that meet insurer and client expectations, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Procure necessary parts, coordinate their timely and correct delivery, and handle returns of incorrect or excess items. Verify the authenticity and suitability of parts before recording and tracking them.
Keep detailed records of all estimates, noting any work requiring prior approval. Ensure no repairs commence without authorization and follow up on outstanding estimates with updates.
Communicate clearly with bodyshop staff post-approval to confirm the scope of work. Report immediately if an insurer declares a vehicle a total loss.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations applicable to the role and work environment.
Technical Skills:
Specific technical expertise will be discussed and finalized with your manager or team leader.
Additional Duties:
Due to the organization's size and complexity, you may be assigned other reasonable tasks within your expertise by senior management.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive annual salary up to 46,000 (OTE), including site bonuses, depending on experience and qualifications.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role and current or previous ATA accreditation are required.
Experience with Audatex and Autoflow systems is advantageous.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
