The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient delivery and collection of various rental vehicles (cars, vans, light commercial) to and from our customers' homes and business premises. You will be a key representative of our brand, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Delivery & Collection:

Safely and punctually deliver rental vehicles to customer locations and collect vehicles at the end of the rental period, adhering to pre-set schedules.

Loading & Securing Vehicles:

Competently and safely load and unload a variety of vehicles onto the HGV, ensuring all vehicles are securely fastened and compliant with transport regulations.

Vehicle Inspection:

Conduct thorough and meticulous inspections of vehicles upon collection, identifying and accurately documenting any new damage, fuel levels, and cleanliness, using a keen eye for detail.

Time Management:

Plan and manage routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and collections, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and adherence to driving hours regulations.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service at all times. Interact with customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner, explaining vehicle features, rental agreements, and answering any queries.

Mobile Technology Use:

Proficiently use company-provided mobile devices for navigation, digital paperwork, vehicle inspections, and communication.

Compliance & Safety:

Adhere strictly to all road transport regulations, health and safety guidelines, and company policies.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Conduct daily vehicle checks on the HGV, reporting any defects promptly.

Documentation:

Accurately complete all necessary digital and/or physical paperwork related to deliveries, collections, and vehicle inspections.

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with no more than 6 penalty points. Valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC). Valid Digital Tachograph Card. Proven experience as an HGV Class 2 driver, ideally with experience in vehicle transport or recovery.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Comfortable and competent with loading and securing a variety of vehicles onto an HGV.

A keen eye for detail and strong observational skills for thorough vehicle inspections.

Friendly, approachable, and professional customer service skills.

Competent user of mobile phones and tablet devices for job-related applications.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience with different types of vehicle loading equipment (e.g., ramps, winches). Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics

Pay: 2,200.00-3,000.00 per month
