Purpose of Job:

To carry out day-to-day operation of a logistics hub

Southern Regional Hub Manager / Southern Regional Team Leader

Responsibilities


Be fully competent with vehicle recording and reporting systems (Manpack, Vision, AS400, M-Store & Genus). Maintain control of stock levels within the Hub and escalate any vehicles over 72 hours. Operate key operations, book vehicles in and out, and record on Vision. Liaise with Non-Conformance for aborts, breakdowns, and accidents. Liaise with Non-Conformance to ensure vehicles recovered to the hub due to mechanical issues are moved without delay. Complete a physical stock check of all vehicles daily and file in the

Stock Check File

. Complete a Key Audit twice weekly and file in the

Stock Check File

. Compare Vision stock reports against Manpack for vehicles not planned or overdue and rectify (daily). Run analysis reports to identify anomalies and rectify (e.g., POD location report). Be aware of individual drivers' skills and abilities. Enforce BCA Logistics' policies and site rules. Collect and store driver/inspector equipment securely until collected by FSAs. Maintain and control hire cars on site, ensuring vehicles are serviced when necessary. Carry out security checks of the compound, identify fence weaknesses, and ensure all vehicles are secured. Ensure the office is kept clean and tidy to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain a professional and efficient location to portray BCA Logistics positively to customers and employees. Provide cover for the Newport Coordinator operation. Monitor and allow access to BCA's on-site clients (Stratstone's, Wessex, etc.). Carry out H&S, fire point, extinguisher, and first-aid checks as required and report to the Hub Team Leader. Be a keyholder. Arrange transporter collections. Ensure the Key Office is fully staffed at all times. Work across a shift pattern to provide maximum coverage; shifts may be extended during peak periods. Be willing to undertake First Aid and Fire Marshall training. * Perform any other duties reasonably requested.
