To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Vehicle Logistics Manager to join us in our Global Commercial site based in Coventry.
Summary:
This role is responsible for the end-to-end management and strategic optimisation of the Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) network. It ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and timely distribution of vehicles from production plants and ports to dealerships and end customers across the European and UK markets. The manager will lead a team and work with carriers to ensure operational excellence, uphold the highest standards of vehicle quality and damage prevention, and drive continuous improvement in a complex, multi-modal logistics environment.
What you'll do:

• Develop and implement the strategic roadmap aligning with overall company objectives.
• Manage and optimise the flow of vehicles via road, rail, and sea transport, ensuring capacity meets fluctuating demand.
• Lead the selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management of third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and port processors.
• Oversee the daily planning and execution of all vehicle movements, including inland distribution from plants, import/export processes, and port operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to shipment schedules and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for on-time delivery, cost per unit, and quality.
• Proactively manage and resolve any logistical disruptions, such as customs delays, port congestion, or carrier capacity issues.
• Implement and enforce rigorous quality control standards to minimize vehicle damage during transit and handling.
• Own and manage the FVL budget for the Europe & UK region, ensuring all activities are delivered within financial targets.
• Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

Additional Information:

• This role will be working from our Coventry office. This role will be working on-site, full time.
• Frequent travel might be required to visit different entities. Applicants must therefore possess the ability to travel freely without restrictions.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without VISA sponsorship.
