Intertechnic Logistics, established in August 2009, is a leading provider in the automotive logistics sector, managing the movement of approximately 4,500 vehicles monthly for a variety of customers including the Leasing, Daily Rental and Accident Vehicle Replacement industries. With a fleet of our own drivers, we can carry out the movement of vehicles via Trade Plates, Inspect and Collect services for the Leasing sector and handover of new retail vehicles for Dealers and Leasing Companies. Summary



We are seeking a Logistics Planner to join our dynamic team at Intertechnic Logistics. This role is crucial for coordinating vehicle movements efficiently and ensuring that our operations meet the high standards expected by our diverse clientele.

Due to increased volumes, we now require an additional experienced member of staff to join our Planning/Driver Support team and are looking for the following-

Vehicle Logistics Planner/Driver Support



Main purpose of job



This will be a dual role supporting both the Planning and Driver Support team dealing with our team of Trade Plate drivers.

Key Responsibilities



Reporting to Operations Manager Working together with the Planners and Driver Support team Telephone liaison with drivers Problem solving
Plan driver routes to maximise efficiency and cost control

Planning vehicles around requests, challenges and changes

Notify Customer Service team of any late or non-arrivals

Meet customer Lead Time requirements by planning effectively to ensure all collections are covered Demanding role with the ability to fulfil customer needs Develop strong relationships within the transport team Training and development of your skills to cover for key staff absence through Holiday and Sickness cover Responsibility for on call out of hours contact on a rota system To accept responsibility of tasks undertaken.

Requirements



2-3 years Proven experience in logistics planning is preferred. Proactive and organised Computer literate and excellent communication skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively. Familiarity with automotive logistics is essential. Able to problem solve with the ability to adapt plans Driven and passionate about the Logistics industry

Hours of Work



it will be a 40 hour week between the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday to be arranged. Out of hours responsibility to be discussed.

Holidays



You will be entitled to 23 days holiday per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays. Holiday should be taken at times agreed with the Operations Manager.

Salary



Salary 30,000 p.a.
