Job Overview

Cefn Glas Service Station, located in Bridgend, is seeking a fully qualified and experienced vehicle mechanic to join our busy workshop on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, reliable, and honest, consistently taking pride in their work. This role is suited to a motivated and knowledgeable individual who is passionate about cars and demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in every task undertaken.

Main Responsibilities

Inspecting, assessing, and confidently diagnosing vehicle faults, with a commitment to a first-time fix approach. Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance work on a range of vehicles. Handling more complex mechanical tasks, such as clutch and timing belt replacements. Ensuring high standards of workmanship and contributing to the workshop's reputation for excellent customer service. Working independently when necessary, as well as collaborating effectively within a team. Maintaining a positive and proactive attitude at all times.

Candidate Requirements

City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair, or an equivalent certification. Proven experience in car servicing, diagnostics, and repairs. Full, clean UK driving licence. Strong attention to detail with a thorough first-time fix approach. Desire to be part of a friendly and supportive team environment.
