- from aircraft tugs and towing tractors to baggage elevators and other specialist vehicles that keep flights running on schedule.

Vehicle Mechanic - What You'll Be Doing

As a

Vehicle Mechanic

at Luton Airport, you'll:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of

airport vehicles and ground service equipment

Work on

towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage systems, and specialist airport vehicles

Carry out

scheduled maintenance

and

emergency repairs

to keep operations running smoothly Use your technical skills to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues Work both

airside and in the workshop

, collaborating with a dedicated team of engineers

Vehicle Mechanic - What We're Looking For

We're looking for a

Vehicle Mechanic

who takes pride in their work and loves a technical challenge. You'll need:

City & Guilds Level 3 in Motor Mechanics (or equivalent)

- essential Proven experience as a

Vehicle Mechanic

,

HGV Technician

, or

Plant Fitter

Full UK Driving Licence

Strong mechanical knowledge with good diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to pass airside clearance checks (including a 5-year work history verification)
If you have experience working on

buses, HGVs, plant machinery, or specialist vehicles

, that's a real advantage!
