Global Tyres & Servicing Centre - Walsall is a busy, well established garage with 20 plus years serving local drivers. We are known for fast turnaround, honest advice, and a friendly team that takes pride in doing the job properly. Alongside tyres, we carry out servicing and mechanical repairs daily, plus wheel alignment, brakes, batteries, exhausts, air con regas, and vehicle diagnostics using Snap-On equipment.

The Role:

We are looking for a reliable, experienced Mechanic to join our workshop team. This is a hands on role for an all rounder who can confidently handle day to day servicing, repairs, and fault finding in a fast moving workshop.

What you will be doing:

1. Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
2. Diagnostics and fault finding, then carrying out repairs to a high standard
3. Brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, batteries, and general mechanical work
4. Clutches and timing belts, preferred as part of your skill set
5. Using workshop diagnostic equipment when needed, including Snap On diagnostics
6. Working efficiently and safely, keeping your bay clean and organised
7. Supporting the team to keep jobs moving and customers happy

What we are looking for:

1. Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic in a busy garage
2. Confident with fault finding and diagnostics, not just replacing parts
3. Strong all round mechanical ability, with good attention to detail
4. Clutches and timing belts experience preferred
5. Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications preferred but not essential 6. Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in workmanship
7. Full UK driving licence preferred
