Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise within a dynamic automotive environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills and contribute to high-quality vehicle servicing. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing motorhomes based on Fiat Ducato, Iveco Daily, Mercedes Sprinter and VW Crafter chassis. These vehicles are premium vehicles and need to be maintained in line with our company quality checks. Some of the vehicles are "A" class coach built vehicles with limited access, a workplace tour would be given to any applicants.

Responsibilities



Conduct comprehensive diagnostics to identify vehicle issues using specialised tools and equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine work, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and electrical system troubleshooting. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs with precision. Inspect vehicles thoroughly to ensure all components meet safety standards before returning them to customers. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time taken for each job. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders and uphold quality standards. Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all repair activities.

Requirements



Proven mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of automotive systems, especially on Fiat, VW, Iveco and Mercedes. Experience working with hand tools and power tools in a workshop setting. Ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues accurately and efficiently. Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and repair procedures. Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are preferred but not essential for highly motivated individuals willing to learn on the job. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory. This role is ideal for dedicated individuals passionate about vehicle maintenance who wish to advance their careers within the automotive industry while ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship. Salary is dependent on experience.
