Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while ensuring a high standard of customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain the vehicle in good working order. A background in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Safely operate the bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the timely arrival and departure of the bus at designated stops. Maintain a clean and well-organised vehicle, conducting regular inspections. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes and schedules. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, especially those with mobility challenges. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to management promptly. Keep accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that occur during transit.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for bus operation. Previous experience as a van driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations while ensuring passenger safety. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Pay: 12.65-22.10 per hour
