Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Painter to join our busy accident repair centre in Cardiff.

You would be expected to have a good eye for detail, have a positive attitude and great work ethic. Working closely within a paint team.

Overtime available, hourly rate to start between 16/18 with time saved bonus on top, OTE 50k+

Summary

As a Vehicle Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a flawless appearance and protection against the elements. Reporting to the Body Shop Manager, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools to prepare surfaces and mix paints accurately. Your ability to perform heavy lifting will be essential in handling parts and equipment. We expect you to maintain a clean workspace while delivering exceptional results that meet our organization's standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Operate hand and power tools to apply paint evenly and efficiently. Lift and maneuver heavy components safely during the painting process. Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for painting tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting as required Experience in automotive painting or related fields is preferred Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
