We have an opportunity for a Vehicle Performance Engineer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will lead and undertake a variety of tasks relating to vehicle performance simulation, analysis, model development and simulator operations. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. Principal Accountabilities:



Undertake performance, simulation and vehicle dynamics projects to drive: + Short-term performance. + Long-term performance.
+ Simulation and analysis tool development.
+ Engineering support for Design, Aero, Strategy and Race Engineering groups.
+ Simulator operations.
+ Race event support.
+ Tire model development.
+ Data pipeline continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain department administration and reporting procedures.

Requirements

What do you need to bring to the team?

Strong understanding of physics and math relating to high performance vehicles. Experience of Python or MATLAB / Simulink Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Open to new ideas and approaches. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors. Communicate effectively with a range of people in other departments across the organisation. Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
