Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Preparation Specialist for our Prestige Used and 4x4 Vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be passionate about automotive repair and maintenance. As a Vehicle Preparation Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring that all used cars and 4x4's are safe and roadworthy, and presented to Greg Mitchell Motors standards, in readiness to be digitally advertised and ready for sale.

With over 100 used cars in stock this is a fast paced busy environment for which we need to continuously provide our customers with the highest standards. This is an interesting and varied role that will require you to co-operate professionally with others, work effectively within a team environment, have a 'can-do' attitude and a good attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out cosmetic and mechanical quality checks/appraisals of used stock on arrival Work with 3rd parties and site team getting vehicles ready for display, including completion of bodywork, mechanical work, fitting of alloy wheels, body kits and accessories Organising and completion of used car PDI, to include full VHC of work needing carried out Servicing of cars Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles To ensure all jobs are completed within agreed timeframes whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship To work closely with the workshop controller, service reception team and parts team to ensure we deliver an excellent customer experience Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques To keep work area and protective clothing clean, tidy and in a safe condition.

Skills

Level 3 qualified Technician or equivalent, with at least 5 years' experience Experience with using diagnostics and fault finding Preparation experience is desired An excellent eye for detail Organised and hard working Honest and trustworthy A mind-set that prioritizes health and safety matters A full, clean UK Driving Licence
Working hours: Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week; One Saturday per month.
