The Salvo Group Ltd was established in the early 90's,This is a family run Vehicle Recycling Center based in Derbyshire. Due to our expansion We are looking to hire a vehicle recovery driver to drive our car transporters we have 2 vehicles 3.5ton & a 13 ton twin deck this position will be to collect vehicles in and around the East Midlands however we do travel further afield as and when the role requires.

Requirements of Driver:

Must have minimum Class 2 license. Please do not apply if you have anything less.

Full Clean License (Preferred not essential)

Valid CPC and Tacho, if this is not in your CV please confirm this on your cover letter.

Vehicle recovery experience is essential

Winch experience is preferred but not essential.

Flexibility in schedule is a must with any driving role traffic and roadworks cannot be controlled - Currently the typical week is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm however there is flexibility if required to be discussed at interview, however this is the minimum amount of hours we would look to employ for. overtime is on an adhock basis as and when available however we may require the right canditate to work occasional Saturdays also, depending upon the collection required.

Responsibilities of Driver:

Loading and unloading running/ none running vehicles on and off of the vehicle.

Complete daily inspections of the vehicle at the start of the shift and report any problems or damage to management

Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.

Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business

Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.

Job Information:

Full-time position, Pay rate is 13 an hour Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday availability 9am till 1pm. you will have at least 2 weeks' notice if needed, flexibility is essential. 28days Holiday which includes bank holidays and Christmas closure you will be pro rata until completion of 1 whole years employment.
