Star Autos Recovery LTD are a small family run business looking for to recruit 1 driver, with minimum 7.5T licence although class 2 would be preferred. We are looking for someone who is local to the Rowley Regis area to help meet our ETA's, is willing to do call outs and preferably has a clean criminal record as most of the work is for West Midlands Police so the ideal candidate would NEED to pass the police vetting process. As part of your daily role, you will spend the majority of the day in the yard helping yard staff move cars, release them to the customers and other general yard duties. When a job is received, it will be assigned to a driver and then we have roughly a 30 minute ETA to get on scene where we are greeted by the police with the vehicle. This is not a typical driving job, we mainly work within a 10-15 mile radius of our yard so you aren't usually out in the truck for long periods at a time unless we have a busy period. Hours required are: Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 17:00 Saturday: 09:00 - 13:00 You will also be required to be available on call out of these hours to support our 24/7 operations, nights off call can be arranged as long as other staff are available. Although experience is preferred, it's not essential, as we can provide the training you will need to do the job, and offer support at any time of the day or night so you'll never be left to fend for yourself. As stated, 7.5T or Class 2 license is a must as we have a range of 7.5T and 10T tilt and slide recovery vehicles which you will be driving.
