Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at McCullagh Civil Engineering & Plant Hire. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment essential for our operations. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy machinery. Utilize hand and power tools effectively to complete tasks. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational. Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role in the construction industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques. Good customer service skills to interact with clients when necessary. Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory.
