Duties

Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues. Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and replacements. Diagnose faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and implement appropriate solutions. Test vehicles post-repair to ensure all issues have been resolved and that they meet safety standards. Maintain accurate records of all work carried out and parts used. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-maintained.

Experience

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues efficiently. Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Experience with power tools used in automotive repair is advantageous. Familiarity with diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment is desirable. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality work standards.
