Overview

We are a busy family-run garage looking for a reliable Vehicle Technician / Mechanic. We would welcome experienced mechanics and apprentices ready to step up. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive technology and a keen eye for detail. Applicants should possess strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with both hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and electrical system troubleshooting Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components accurately. Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities

Experience

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive repair role is preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues effectively Experience with hand and power tools. Own tools essential Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and software is advantageous Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or engineering are beneficial but not essential Full UK Driving Licence
