LGV/HGV Mechanics - Mallusk



Up to 42,000 OTE



2,000 joining bonus - 2,000 annual performance - 2,000 shift allowance

Due to the increasing demands of our busy workshop - we welcome applications from both Heavy Vehicle Mechanics & Light Vehicle Mechanics.

Salary dependent on skills and experience. Joiner bonus payable on successful completion of probation.

Contracted Hours - 39 hours per week

Week 1:

Monday to Thursday 8.15 - 16:45, Friday 8:30 - 17:00

Week 2:

Monday to Thursday 8.15 - 16:45, Friday 8:30 - 17:00 & Saturday 8:30 - 15:00

Week 3:

Monday to Thursday 15:45 - Midnight

Job role



The purpose of this role is to deliver a high standard of technical advice, servicing and maintenance to all our customers.

Carry out servicing and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles to a premium brand standard

Ensure job cards are completed accurately and in line with manufacturer standards

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Mercedes-Benz vehicles using advanced mechanical skills.

Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs.

Conduct inspections to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

Document repair procedures accurately in our systems.

Collaborate with team members to improve service quality.

Stay updated on new vehicle technologies and repair techniques.

Contribute to a positive customer experience through professional service.

Support and mentor apprentices within the workshop

Requirements



City & Guilds level 3/NVQ Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

Full UK driving licence and your own tools

Excellent work ethic with a commitment to high-quality workmanship and vehicle care

Strong technical knowledge and experience in vehicle fault-finding and repairs
