We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Independent Food Vendor to operate an Afro-carribean food stall, cart, or mobile kitchen at designated location. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food, customer service, and running their own business. As an independent vendor, you will be responsible for preparing and selling food items, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve high-quality food in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Manage the food vending unit (i.e. trailer).
Manage inventory, order supplies, and track daily sales.
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace at all times.
Ensure compliance with local food handling and business operation regulations.
Promote products through social media or local outreach.
Handle cash and electronic transactions securely.
Requirements:
Proven experience in food preparation or the hospitality industry (preferred).
Food handler's permit or equivalent certification (required).
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions on the fly.
Physical ability to stand for long periods

Compensation:
Income is based on sales and varies depending on hours worked, and customer volume. Potential for high earnings for motivated vendors.
Note:
This is to develop into a self-employed position. You will be responsible for obtaining your own certification, and permits required for food vending in the operating area
