Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide supplementary educational support to KS1 and KS2 students in Verbal reasoning and Non-verbal reasoning. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching children for the Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test and Knowledge of the GL Assessment. The ideal should possess the ability to communicate effectively and educate students of different learning abilities, including those with special educational needs. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic and personal development goals.

Responsibilities

Develop tailored lesson plans that meet the individual needs of each student. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in designated subjects. Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Communicate regularly with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement. Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote understanding and retention of material. Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere that fosters student confidence and motivation.

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students. Ability to engage and motivate students through innovative teaching methods. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed academically. A relevant qualification in education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
