This is a great opportunity to join our Bury practice who are looking for a vet to join them - the position would ideally suit an experienced vet who enjoys medicine and surgery.

The practice has been open since 2004 and has a loyal client base

Our lovely standalone practice is in a great location for commuters

The role is ideally full time, but part time hours can be discussed

You would join a lovely, experienced team with very low staff turn over

There is no OOH

Saturdays are worked on a 1 in 5 basis (8am till 3pm)

If you have a special interest the team are happy to support you; both certificate enrolment and CPD can be supported

Excellent pay up to 70,000(DOE, FTE)

About us:

Bury vets for pets is a standalone practice owned and run locally by Chris and Michael. It has become a staple of the local community and offers its loyal clients and their furry friends the highest standard of care.


The practice was established in 2004 and has recently undergone a full refurbishment offering all its colleagues a comfortable and spacious practice to work in. The practice is in a fantastic location for commuters. It has great transport links to Manchester City centre, other local towns and beauty spots.


You will be supported by a wealth of experience at Bury vets for pets, with 6 permanent vets including 4 certificate holders. All team members believe in supporting colleagues to upskill and get to the next step in their career goals.


Along with the support in the veterinary team, you will have the dedicated support from 6 RVNs, 3 VCAs, 6 receptionists, a Practice manager, a Client Account Manager and an Insurance Administrator. This extensive team will ensure you have everything you need to provide the best care possible.

The role:

This position available is for a full time vet, but we understand this isn't right for everyone so we can accommodate part time hours. Let us know what hours suit you best and will endeavour to accommodate.


There are no out-of-hours (OOH) requirements, and we only open on Saturdays from 8am to 3pm. Saturdays are worked on a 1 in 5 basis.


All of our vets share duties and the role is suited to a mixture of consulting, in-patient care and surgery. We could accommodate a consulting only vet if this is preferable.
