ESSENTIAL: Full Clean Driving license. GCSE Science Grade A-C

DESIRABLE: Experience in veterinary sector, Experience or additional qualifications in laboratory/biology work.

We are looking for laboratory assistant/ambulance driver to join us in supporting and assisting the nursing and veterinary staff in running the laboratory and performing diagnostic testing within the clinic. This role is based at our Purton Road Clinic.

The Laboratory role is responsible for providing an efficient and accurate turn around of laboratory testing and managing the laboratory equipment and materials. This role also requires excellent computer and communication skills for reporting results to clinical staff.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective time management, flexibility and enjoy working to targets. They must be efficient and have the ability to learn quickly, problem solve and adhere to equipment schedules.

This role also includes the transportation of items/equipment and animals between the three clinics so a full driving licence with experience of driving is essential.

The job of laboratory technician varies from day to day and the clinical team require someone who is highly responsible with a mature attitude to working. We are looking for someone who is both a professional and caring person in work as well as a good citizen outside of the workplace.
