About us
We're a progressive practice with a passion for pets, people and innovation. Our expansion has given us more space to care for our ever-growing patient base and better facilities for our team, including a dedicated study area and a large rest room.
Our close-knit team includes 4 full-time vets, 4 RVNs, 1 Auxiliary Nurse, 3 SVNs and 1 VCA, supported by our proactive Client Care team and Practice Manager. We work closely together to deliver outstanding care while supporting each other every step of the way.
About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) with 1 in 3 Saturdays.
As a VCA, you'll play a vital part in both clinical and client care, with responsibilities such as:
Feeding, exercising and grooming our inpatients
Monitoring patients and providing supportive care
Assisting with theatre preparation, equipment set-up and patient handling
Keeping wards and accommodation clean and comfortable
Helping with reception and pharmacy tasks, including advising clients on basic preventative care
Qualifications & Experience
You must either:
Hold a Level 2 Diploma for Veterinary Care Assistants (City & Guilds or equivalent), with some experience in a veterinary practice, or
Be looking to join us as an apprentice Veterinary Care Assistant, where you'll complete your Level 2 VCA qualification alongside hands-on training in our practice.
