Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Colne Vets for Pets practice.


Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and recently expanded to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.


As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our team in delivering exceptional care. You will be maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic, kennels, and prep areas, assisting smooth efficient running of the clinical team, and ensuring comfort of our patients. You will be performing a range of tasks, such as admitting patients, booking appointments by phone, helping to monitor recoveries, dispensing medication, packing instrumentation, and running laboratory tests. Training and support provided, but some animal related experience is essential.

This is a Full Time role involving hours between 8.30am and 7pm and will include working 1 in 3 Saturdays.

You are calm, attentive, and always focus on the clients' and patients' needs. You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets. You can adjust appropriately to varied situations, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy's first visit to the vet. You can multitask and have high personal standards. You create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
