We are a growing practice and our staffing needs have increased, we have an exciting opportunity at our state of the art, independent vet practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic new colleague to join our amazing team to assist with the day to day jobs around the practice and assist the vets and nurses.

The role will be shared between assisting in the clinical areas and working front-of-house as receptionist cover.

The position is

40 hours a week inclusive

, (an 8 hour day shift

Monday to Fridays

and

every other

Saturday morning

8.30am - 12.30pm.

Previous reception experience is encouraged, ideally veterinary - but this is notnecessary General use of a computer - some Word and Excel experience a bonus Professional telephone manner essential Good communication skills Positive, helpful and pro-active attitude Ability to work independently using initiative (all training and advice will be supplied) Punctual and presentable

About the role:

Monitoring, recording and providing supportive care to patients under the direction of the Veterinary Surgeon and Registered Veterinary Nurse Assist with reception and client care including answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures and taking payments Maintaining Infection control Preparing and maintaining patient accommodation Assisting with patient handling and restraint Assisting with diagnostic procedures, patient treatments, also processing samples and/or packaging for external laboratories Maintenance of theatre to include preparation of the environment and equipment
