Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to animals. The role involves assisting veterinarians in clinical and laboratory tasks, ensuring the well-being of our furry patients.

This position will be a cover role so the shifts could be at any of our 5 sites in Leeds

You will work 38 hours over 4 days (shifts between 8am-8pm) and every 1 in 4 Saturday or Sunday shifts 8am-6.30pm (at the Seacroft site). This equates to a weekly contracted hours of 40.5 per week.

Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures- Handle and restrain animals during treatment- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment for diagnostic tests- Perform basic laboratory procedures such as blood tests and urinalysis- Clean and sterilise surgical instruments- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic- Provide compassionate care to animals. Some Reception duties will also be expected in this position.

Requirements:- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is advantageous
