Job Summary

Are you an experienced, hands-on VCA who loves being at the centre of patient care and client service? Every Tail Vets is looking for a proactive Veterinary Care Assistant to support our nursing team and cover reception. You will be backed by a friendly team of vets, RVNs and senior advisors.

Responsibilities

Support vets and RVNs with animal handling, inpatient care and basic procedures (including monitoring low-level anaesthetics if competent) Work on reception 1 to 2 days per week: greet clients, book appointments, handle payments and insurance queries Keep every area clean and tidy at all times: consult rooms, prep and theatre, kennels, reception and waiting spaces Stock check and restock clinical and reception supplies so the day runs smoothly Create engaging social media content that reflects our patients and our values Record and protect client data in line with GDPR

Experience and Skills

Proven experience as a VCA or veterinary receptionist Confident animal handling and a genuine passion for pet welfare Calm, friendly communicator who can multitask in a busy setting Comfortable with practice management software and digital tools A creative eye for social media is a plus

Hours and Rota

Full time, 40 hours per week Saturday availability is essential (final rota to be discussed)

Pay: 24,420.00-27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

10 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
