Veterinary Care Assistant - Maternity Leave

Priory Vets has an exciting opportunity for two dedicated veterinary care assistants to join the team to cover maternity leave. This is a fixed-term contract from September 2025 - June/July 2026. One successful candidate will be based at our Cardigan site and the other at our Crymych site.



Your duties will include carrying out important daily tasks, maintaining our hospital's high hygiene standards, assisting our nurses with patient care, aiding recovery, theatre prep and cleaning.

More about you

We're looking for someone who truly loves animals and is dedicated to their care. While experience in an animal care environment is a plus, it's not required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, enjoy collaborating with a team, and feel confident handling both animal care and reception duties. They should be reliable, responsible, able to follow directions, and efficient in managing multiple tasks. Comfort with a range of animals--including cats, dogs, and small mammals--is also important.###

Your shift pattern

You will work on a part-time basis covering 32 hours per week across Monday-Friday. Exact shift pattern to be discussed at interview.
