We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly and compassionate veterinary team. The successful candidate will support veterinarians and veterinary nurses in delivering high-quality care to animals. Responsibilities

Assisting veterinary staff during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Preparing animals for procedures, including restraint and positioning Cleaning and sterilising surgical instruments and equipment Answering the telephone and reception duties Processing laboratory samples such as blood and urine for analysis Maintaining accurate records of patient history, treatments, and laboratory results Providing general care to animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their condition Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the clinic environment to uphold hygiene standards

Requirements

Previous veterinary experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those eager to learn Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and a professional demeanour Flexibility to adapt to varying daily tasks and responsibilities
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 8.00-12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
