Job Description

Batt Laboratories is a veterinary diagnostic laboratory based in Coventry (UK) and owned by LABOKLIN GmbH, a leader in veterinary diagnostic development and service worldwide. Batt Laboratories has a strong history of providing personal, high-quality diagnostic laboratory services and is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic technician to join the team and assist with its expansion.

We are interested in hearing from ambitious, bright individuals with experience and/or qualifications. A bias towards, or previous experience in, microbiology will be a significant advantage.

Main Responsibilities:

Participate in the day-to-day running of the diagnostic laboratory Responsibility and accountability for your own work Use your knowledge and experience to deliver high-quality service Work with other staff to identify and address your own learning needs Complete duties that may not be part of your day-to-day workflow, as required Perform basic bacterial identification, sensitivity testing, urine analysis and parasitology.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

Relevant BSc with some level of experience or HNC in Medical Laboratory Sciences Skills and experience in microbiology are essential, particularly in bacterial culture, parasite identification, and urine examination Previous experience in a diagnostic veterinary laboratory would be preferred Be self-motivated, organized, a team player, and an independent worker Reliable, hardworking, with strong communication skills and good customer service

: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 17:30 (flexibility required) No work on weekends and Bank Holidays
