Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dependable and capable Veterinary Nurse to include some reception/admin responsibilities to join our independently owned veterinary practice located in Alton, Hampshire.
We are a close-knit, professional team committed to delivering high-quality veterinary care. As an integral member of our practice, you will support our veterinary surgeons and admin staff, contributing to a smooth and effective delivery of a wide range of veterinary services.
Requirements
Ideal candidate must be located within half an hour driving distance of the practice. Registered Veterinary Nurse with excellent all-round nursing skills, along with a strong passion for animal care. Substantial small animal veterinary nursing experience is essential; applicants must be confident handling animals.
Assist with the handling and husbandry of animals. Monitor and manage diaries and veterinary stock levels. Contribute to the general efficiency and high standards of the practice through proactive and flexible support.
A full/clean driving licence is required.
Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to take initiative to work both independently and collaboratively.
A professional, yet approachable manner.
Flexibility to work variable hours. On occasion agreed weekends if required.
Given the nature of the work, a positive mindset and a sense of humour is important. Our team supports each other through the challenges and enjoy a few laughs along the way.
Terms of Employment:
Full-time position.
Salary is dependant upon experience.
Core working days: Monday to Friday, with agreed weekends if required.
Working hours may be varied depending on the needs of the practice. Overtime compensated by either additional pay or time off in lieu.
