RVN Veterinary Nurse-Dentistry focused

The RVN role includes anaesthesia and patient care, IV placement, laboratory. Some primary dental procedure, dental imaging, CT imaging. Assisting the Specialist and Resident in complex dental procedures, client communication and administration. We need a qualified RVN who wants to help provide real excellence in patient and client care ideally on a part time basis working over 4 days a week - but full time is an option. You will be expected to work diligently as part of the team, show initiative in problem solving, a 'can do' attitude and work well in a busy surgery environment. Some management tasks depending on experience.

VetDentist is an established, well-respected specialist small animal veterinary dental referral practice.

We are expanding and have a brand-new, purpose built, state of the art, world leading premises.

VetDentist has multiple dental stations, each with its own high tech dental machine, surgical hand pieces (with sterile irrigation), Xray head and processors, a cone beam CT scanner and a full Abaxis laboratory. Custom built specialist cabinetry, FAB approved cat condo, dog kenneling and walk-in Kennel with shower. Full piped gas (inc N2O) and Active scavenging piped vacuum and compressed air. Full GA monitoring at each station (Capno, pulse Ox, ECG, BP, Temp, Resp). Air blanket warming systems, multiple IV drip pumps, Piezo surgery, sterile autoclave surgical kit boxes. We use Surgical washer disinfectors as well as plumbed in autoclaves to human dental decontamination standards -pretty much all the technology you could imagine!
