We have a fabulous opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident Receptionist to come and join our lovely team of qualified and trainee nurses, 3 vets and full support staff. The practice is well established and busy and would be ideal for someone with excellent Customer Service and interpersonal skills, who is proud to provide the very best treatment and care to our clients and patients. Each day will be interesting and varied and you will be fully supported by our team, who will be happy to help you along the way.

Duties include (but are not limited to)
Open up and closing down of the surgery
Greeting clients in a welcoming and professional manner
Reception duties- answering phones, making appointments, taking payments, checking in clients and dealing with queries.
Booking in Operations
Taking food and medication orders
Sending booster recalls to clients
Administration of Pet Discount Scheme and GDPR
Aged Debtors
Review and actioning emails
Relaying complex messages from clients to vets/ members of staff
Cashing up & balancing of monies
Stock control and placing stock orders
Stationary order
Administration & filing
Sending Thank You cards and welcome packs to clients
Holiday and sickness cover
Please note this position includes working every other Saturday 9.00am - 1.00 pm.
What you will need
A Minimum of 1 years experience of reception is required- Veterinary would be an advantage but is not essential. Candidates must be able to multi task, possess excellent customer service skills, have cash handling/balancing experience and be able to work well under pressure. You must enjoy working with animals and be able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team. GCSE Maths and English at level 4/C are required.

The position is Full- Part time (30-37.5 hours a week) and permanent.
