VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST - EXPERIENCED

experienced Veterinary Receptionist

to join us at our practice in Folkestone.

This is an important client-facing role, as you'll often be the first person our clients meet, setting the tone for the care and compassion they can expect throughout their visit. We are looking for someone with full veterinary reception experience, outstanding communication skills, a professional yet welcoming manner, and the ability to remain calm and supportive even when things get busy.

We work closely as a team to ensure both our patients and clients receive the best possible experience, so being a team player is essential. Equally, you should feel confident managing your workload independently and staying organised under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a warm and friendly welcome to clients and their pets. Answer telephone calls, handle enquiries and schedule appointments. Manage the diary and assist with patient admissions and treatment plans. Process payments and handle billing queries with professionalism and discretion. Keep accurate records and update client and patient information. Support the veterinary team with administrative tasks as required. Ensure the reception area is always tidy, stocked, and welcoming. Responsible for reconciling end of day cash & credit card payments Diligently dispense medications prepared by the clinical team. Offer information on products and services available at the practice.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is required. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational ability and confidence working under pressure. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and veterinary practice management systems. A compassionate, empathetic attitude towards pets and their owners. A positive, adaptable approach and willingness to support the wider team.

The Offer

Part-time position: 3 days per week averaging 10 hours per shift

One Saturday morning every 4 weeks averaging 5 hours per shift

Competitive Salary: 21,000.00 pa

Opportunity for overtime (paid at 20% above hourly rate)

28 day holiday allowance (pro rata FTE)
