We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks that keep our veterinary practice running smoothly. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
Process patient records and maintain accurate information in our database.
Handle billing and payment transactions with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, including preparing samples for testing.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and waiting room.
Provide clients with educational materials on pet care and wellness.
Experience
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is an advantage.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping.
Working Monday to Friday with a share of weekend work.
Job Type: Part-time
