Due to recent expansion, we are seeking a further Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will demonstate a strong background in customer service (previous Receptionist experience is essential, although this need not be veterinary), and have a friendly and approachable nature. This role also requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly and assist with check-in procedures
Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate records
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from various platforms, providing information and assistance as required
Process payments and handle billing enquiries
Liaise with veterinary staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Maintain a clean and organised reception area
Dispensing and assisting with stock management of veterinary medicines
Requirements
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Computer Confidence and proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and client service is essential.

The rota for this role involves both regular Saturday hours, and regular evening shifts. The nature of the business means that surgery can occasionally run over time if there are emergencies or sensitive appointments, therefore applicants need to be prepared to be flexible when required.
