We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. This role requires a genuine love for animals and a commitment to ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and general pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date.
Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including laboratory sample management.
Ensure the reception area is organised, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Educate clients on preventative care, vaccinations, and other services offered by the clinic.
Skills
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care environment is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing records and appointments.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures or terminology is an advantage.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and a desire to contribute positively to the health of pets in the community.
