Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy, independent practice.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated team committed to animal health and welfare. Previous veterinary experience is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate daily clinic activities
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and handle client communications professionally
Maintain accurate patient records and update databases efficiently
Process payments and organise invoices in accordance with practice procedures
Manage stock levels and fulfil client orders
Promote and support practice Health Care Plan subscriptions.
Support the veterinary team with administrative duties to ensure smooth workflow
Keep the reception area clean, tidy and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications
Previous veterinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Friendly, professional demeanour with a compassionate approach towards clients and animals
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry tasks
