Clear Ridge Veterinary Surgery, a small Independent animal practice with a strong focus in Ophthalmology. Providing caring, dedicated and quality healthcare for your pet.
The position will best suit a flexible, enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exemplary communication skills. You should be able to remain calm under pressure, multitask and prioritise your workload whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition. This is a rewarding but busy and demanding role.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address client inquiries
- Maintain accurate client records and update pet information in the system
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
This part-time role covers 3 days, working a split shift, with the inclusion of a 1:3 Saturday rota -
Tuesday from 8.40 til 10.40, returning at 13.40 til 18.40 (Stamford Surgery) 1: 2 Thursdays from 8.30 til 12.30 (Alternating with Team Member - Stamford Surgery)
1: 3 Fridays from 8.40 til 10.40, returning at 13.40 til 18.40 (Stamford Surgery) 2:3 Fridays from 8.40 til 10.40 (Stamford Surgery), returning at 16.30 til 18.30 (Orton Surgery) 1 : 3 Saturday's from 8.30 til 12.30
Timings may differ due to holiday cover, late surgery.
You must be computer literate and have own transport.
It is important when applying for this role that you detail which GCSE, or equivalent subjects you have achieved, along with grades.
Whilst you would be joining a great team of vets and nurses you should be confident in solely managing reception.
